Antoni Wrona

Antoni Wrona is a cellist, soloist, and chamber musician who is currently continuing his education at the Franz Liszt University of Music in Weimar under the supervision of Professor Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, as well as at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in the classes of Professor Tomasz Strahl and Professor Marcin Zdunik. In 2025, he was awarded a scholarship under the prestigious “Elite” programme in Paris, enabling him to study under the guidance of Professor Henri Demarquette.

His competitive achievements include winning first prize at the 15th Michał Spisak International Music Competition in 2025, second prize at the 22nd Kiejstut Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition in Łódź in a duo with Aleksandra Janusz in 2025, third prize at the 12th Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition in Warsaw in 2024, and top honors at the 11th Dezyderiusz Danczowski National Cello Competition in Poznań in 2023 and the 12th Jan Vychytil International Cello Competition in Prague in 2018.

Reflecting his growing prominence on the cultural stage, he was nominated for the “Koryfeusz Muzyki Polskiej 2024” award in the Discovery of the Year category and for the “Paszporty Polityki” awards in 2025 in the Classical Music category.
